What you will be doing:
- Handle the accounting for the cost of goods sold for Vinson Expeditions LLC including inventory, prepaid, accruals
- Handle reconciliations with key suppliers proficiently and independently
- Work with the AP team to ensure bills are recorded in appropriate GL codes/class, in a timely manner
- Work with the finance manager to ensure all relevant costs are booked for each itinerary
- Work with the finance manager to prepare cash forecast for COGS
- Support Vinson finance team in month-end close, including variance commentary
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate record-keepings for all month-end close activities and journal entries and Handle vendor relations and building effective partnerships
- Partner with the core finance team to identify and implement process improvements
- Assist the team with collecting support for all external audits, including pulling documentation and assisting in ad hoc projects as needed
- Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in Core accounting such as AP process, accruals, and vendor reconciliation.
- Should have knowledge of Finance planning analysis
- Experience with Balance Sheet reconciliation
- Accounting or Finance qualification at degree level or Semi qualified CA
