The right person for this job has strong communication, organizational, analytical and customer service skills. Has the ability to multitask effectively and work independently in a fast paced dynamic environment. This employee will focus on primarily New Relic’s Indian Subsidiary, as well as assist with ad-hoc parent company projects as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for all aspects of the accounting function of the subsidiary.
- Manage the daily operations including accounts payable, general ledger and payroll.
- Verify vendor bills and ensure accuracy of the bills and tax rates.
- Process and audit employee expense reports
- Knowledge on TDS, GST, Provident Fund, and filing e-returns within timelines.
- Support statutory audits
- Assist external tax consulting firm with preparation of government filings such as GST, and Corporate Income Tax Returns.
- Work on payroll in terms of TDS and other legal compliance.
- Assist HR team with local payroll/benefits matters
- Assist Administration team with office related matters
- Assist in ad hoc projects
Your Qualifications
Must-have:
- 5-8 years professional experience in a similar finance role
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor’s degree, in accounting, finance or similar field
- Understanding of relevant GAAP, IFRS & Local Indian accounting standards
- High energy level, with a demonstrable hands-on approach, and who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong experience communicating with and handling the expectations of internal customers
- Self-starter with a strong personal drive
- High degree of dedication to improvement and strong sense of ownership
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to Netsuite ERP system is an advantage
- Experience of process improvement & project management
- CPA preferred
