Role Summary:
Senior Accountant with main responsibility for 4-5 Companies across the APAC managing all aspects of financial control and report to Senior Finance Manager. The scope of work includes monthly book close for the region and managing all processes for external statutory reporting including Annual Accounts, VAT, Intrastat, and Corporate Income Tax fillings. This includes building and maintaining relationships with external advisors for legal, audit, and tax in addition to internal regional and Corporate Finance departments. This role will also provide financial support to non-finance internal departments like Tax, Sales, Operations, etc on a variety of subjects.
Main Responsibilities:
To support the Regional Finance organization in all aspects of finance.
- Statutory audit preparation work
- Co-ordination and preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts as per Local GAAPs, external audit, and Corporation Tax return within timeline
- Completion of statutory returns
- Work with US Accounting team to ensure we are having full understanding of US accounting and implication on Local GAAPs
- Review central databases for accuracy and completeness (data cleansing),
- Preparation of cashflow forecasts and intercompany funding requirements
- IC reconciliation – Prepare and review IC reconciliation. Obtain affiliates confirmation to ensure we are having matching balances.
- Ad hoc project work and assistance
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience of Telecoms an advantage
- Experience from multinational /Big4
- Oracle experience must
- Professional communication skills both written and verbal
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team and individually.
- Assertive individual to manage processes and inter-departmental contacts effectively
- Process orientated – committed to adhering to accepted process and able to recommend/communicate logical improvements to current processes
