Purpose & Scope of Role

Finance Executive will support function and will be responsible for collating information/data from all stakeholders for Opex and marketing and validation during books closure along with month end accruals, withholding tax calculation & regular reconciliation. The role will be responsible for month on month tracking of vendor wise accruals and provide assistance in Statutory/ Tax Audit and other controls’ assessment. The role will be responsible for tracking of budget vs forecast vs actuals during accruals accounting.

Provide support in tracking/ monitoring Operating Expenses (Opex) and Brand Investment (Marketing spends) for the organization with a larger objective of fueling our ambitious future growth while benchmarking with efficacy of spends and in accordance with established performance KPIs of 3rd parties. Keeping track of brand extension led spends and preparing segment P&L of brand extension as per the agreed accounting protocols. Collating Capex budgets related to Sales Offices and IT projects with due collaboration with cross functional team and share with Controlling for submission.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely closure of accruals accounting for Opex (operating expenditure) and Marketing expenses on monthly/ quarterly/ yearly basis
• Closely monitoring the monthly Opex/BI against forecast/ budget and ensure right accruals with correct GL and cost centers after collating details from all stakeholders /functions. Work with functions to reinforce discipline with business functions
• Improvise the accruals process, its reporting with automation etc. Further, adopt global ways of working to the extent plausible
• Assist in monthly reconciliation and analysis of Opex/ BI spends with monthly forecast/budget.
• Responsible for withholding tax working on accruals and tracking of monthly actualization of accruals and reconciliation of withholding tax thereon. Work towards first time right recording principle taking into account all details required like Tax treatment, usage of GL and cost center
• Responsible for conducting regular training with the user/ business functions on the accrual processes and ensuring all functions should track budget/ forecast before initiating any activity
• Support in analyzing ROI for key marketing spends and monitoring of actions to achieve investment objectives
• Assist in preparation of variance report and MIS of monthly results in comparison with Budget/ LE/ Forecast/ LY and identify reason for variance from relevant stakeholders and agree on action for subsequent periods
• Work collaboratively with cost/ profit centre leaders/ stake holders on stabilizing the process. Work towards ensuring timey commitments (including Pos) to ensure accuracy in recording and reporting without manual work arounds
• Collaborate with marketing team in preparation of BI budgets by activities /by brands/ by states
• Responsible for keeping track of BI spends on Brand Extension products and prepare the segment P&L of the same as per management requirement. Agree accounting protocols with Controlling
• Responsible for collating the requirement of Capex budget for Sales Offices & IT Projects across India with due collaboration with relevant stakeholders and assist in finalization of Capex and Opex Budget

Experience

• A qualified CA professional/ MBA Finance with excellent analytical skills with 3-5 years of work experience in Process, Policy Governance and Finance processes; preferably from alcobev industry/ FMCG industry
• Experience in working with tools and extensive knowledge of advance spreadsheet models, other MS office applications.
• Adept at working with ERPs, SAP experience will be an added advantage.
