Job Description and Qualifications
The position is to assist the Manager and Senior Accounts and Treasury Executive in dealing with tax compliance & reporting, local GAAP statutory audit and other regulatory requirements for the Air Products India entity. As part of assistance role to the Senior Accounts Executive, this position will also be providing recommendations on process documentation & maintenance and driving of change towards process improvement from their daily activities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Jointly with Senior Accounts & Treasury Executive responsible for Corporate Income Tax compliances in India for AP Group entities having operations / transactions in India including:
in coordination with external consultants and Air Products Corporate Tax Department representatives. Ensure regulatory changes are appropriately managed and accounted for in SAP. |

Support in ensuring indirect tax compliance mainly from GST perspective with increased business and operations |

Support compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements, including support in preparation of the annual accounts and related external audits |

Providing guidance / advise to business on Income Tax and support various activities as required in finance related to direct tax, treasury, and SBS activities and project initiatives to ensure ongoing efficiency improvements of the local GAAP accounting processes. |

Manage inter-company transactions/payment including co-ordination with Air Products internal teams as required to extent relating to direct tax |

QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must possess at least a Chartered Accountant Degree / Degree / Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Commerce with relevant experience in manufacturing environment (audit / accounting). For Chartered Accountants, minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience or working experience in big corporates (preferably MNC) or big audit firms is required. For Diploma holders, minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience is required
- Strong technical skills and keeping self updated with recent regulatory changes relating to areas responsible for
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team player and detail oriented. Ability to interact with management (internally / externally), external auditors, tax authority and other agencies
- Strong computer (including SAP) and analytical skills with a good knowledge of local finance, legal, tax, and accounting rules and government regulations is necessary
- Able to lead work process continuous improvement processes
- Required language proficiencies – English
